Wool Applique Bluebird Sewing Box

Come spend a few hours learning the basics of wool applique and take home this wonderful little sewing and/or trinket box. A kit will be provided ($22) that includes the box - already stained and varnished for you - the pattern and all the hand-dyed wool you will need to complete your project!

Tuffets are a touch of whimsy for your home that blend with all decors and bridge the gap between design and function. In addition to being an heirloom home accent they make treasured gifts for special occasions including weddings, new babies, anniversaries and special birthdays! Learn to sew a gorgeous cover with your choice of fabrics during the first class session and during the 2nd session we will turn the cover into an upholstered footstool. A tuffet kit of 6” upholstery foam, upholstery batting, pre-drilled wood round and T-nuts is available for classroom students. The tuffet kit fee is $60.00 due at the time of the first class.

Everyone loved this quilt so much that we restructured this class based on feedback we received after first posting it in our Fall newsletter...
Learn beautiful, finished-edge machine applique technique in our Instructional Block of the Month featuring the quilt, "Frolic" by The Vintage Spool. Instructor guided sessions will allow you to master the art of invisible machine applique as you work on your blocks each month. Participants will enjoy having the opportunity to return to class the following month for further instruction, Q & A and more! Also included in class will be pop-up topics and instruction on hand embroidery and embellishing your blocks with buttons, crystals, beads and more!

Many quilters have been very successful machine quilting with their home machine and you can too with just a little practice. Kick off your quilting with this workshop designed to introduce you to straight-line and free-motion quilting.

Once you've made one, you're bound to want to make another This class is for those of you who have already completed the Two-Session Tuffet class but still have ideas for another tuffet or two but don't have access to the tools. You bring along your Tuffet "fabric" and put it all together under Sharyn's guidance. Participants must meet the prerequisite requirement.

We're heading to Mid Atlantic Quilt Fest! Join us as we travel to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Fest on Saturday, February 25. Bus will depart Cary at 7:00 am and return at 9:00 pm. Cost includes round trip transportation, admission to the show, prizes and surprises! Space is limited and reservations are non-refundable. Participants will receive a detailed packet full of information regarding the trip in February.

Who knows, if we don't talk too much maybe one of us will actually get something finished?
