Here you will find a complete listing of our upcoming workshops, classes and events. To register, please call the shop at 919/975-0404 (have your credit card ready as you will need it to reserve your seat). Supply lists will be emailed to you approximately 1 week prior to the class or as soon as the class minimum has been met, whichever comes first.
English Pathways - A Progressive Patchwork Program
This program was designed by Kaye England as a way to teach new skills to beginning quilters but it is also a great program for experienced quilters interested in fine-tuning their quilt-making. I found in making the shop sample and testing the program that it really helped me to revisit some areas where I was getting sloppy and re-appreciate the importance of patience and attention to detail. This program would be great for any quilter - beginner to advanced. Here's how the program will run - sort of like a Block of the Month with a little extra, added bonus!
Our Progressive Patchwork Program will be a demo/self-study program. Each session will be presented in a short, one-hour demo/lecture format (there will be 4 sessions total) similar to our Schoolhouse Saturdays with a bit more detail. Included in the demo/lecture will be a presentation of the primary techniques for that month along with some of my own tips and tricks and any Q & A you might have. It is at these sessions that you will also be receiving your pattern and instructions for the next session.
Presentations will be held on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. as follows - 1st Saturday of every month:
April 3, May 1, June 5 & July 3 - we will adjust the July date as a group, if necessary.
Cost: $135.00 - This INCLUDES all the fabric you need to complete the quilt top and all of the demo/lecture sessions.
Finished quilt will be 82 1/2" x 90 1/2".
The first 6 persons to register will receive their fabric in a complimentary, matching English Travel Case.
Beyond Hawaiian Applique

By request, I'm offering this fun and easy method of Hawaiian Applique done by machine (which makes it quick too)! Choose from one of several designs for your in-class project as you learn to make these pretty blocks.

Pizza & Thread - A Girls' Night to sit & stitch!

Cost: $10.00 per night
Leave your worries at the door and join us for pizza, salad, laughter and some light sewing! Bring your own project to work on and if you can't be here right at 4:30, that's ok - we'll keep an eye on the door and let you in when you arrive. Pizze and salad provided, please bring your own beverage. Pre-registration necessary as space is limited.

Join us for Quilter's Schoolhouse Saturdays - a FREE demonstration of some of our favorite books, patterns, gadgets & gizmos! Schoolhouse begins promptly at 9:30 and lasts 30 minutes. Demonstrated items are 15% off the morning of the demo. Registration is not necessary. This is a regular event in the shop but due to my very busy soccer-playing boys I will now list ONLY those Saturdays that we will be holding Schoolhouse.
